A small, founder-led estate making single-vineyard wines beside the Russian River, in Alexander Valley.
CABERNET SAUVIGNON · ALEXANDER VALLEY
LIMITED PRODUCTION · ESTATE GROWN · ALLOCATION ONLY
Montrose is a privately held vineyard in Alexander Valley, focused on producing small-lot Cabernet Sauvignon with clarity and structure. The estate sits in a diurnal zone where cool mornings give way to warm afternoons—allowing for slow, even ripening.
We farm deliberately, harvest with precision, and produce wines that reflect both power and restraint. Montrose is not built for scale—it is built for expression.
Alexander Valley sits in the northeast corner of Sonoma County, traced by the slow bend of the Russian River. Mornings come in cool and silvered with Pacific fog; afternoons settle into a long, even ripening light.
Our parcels sit on the valley floor, where the river runs cool past gravel beds and oak. The soils are alluvial — sandy loam and river-washed gravel, draining cleanly and asking vines to root deep for water.
Every visit is private and led by the people who farmed the fruit and made the wine. By appointment only.
A guided tasting of current releases in a private estate setting.
Most of what we make is sold directly to people on our allocation list. Visits are private and by appointment.
